You'd have thought with Freeview soon being made the only way to receive TV that the likes of SKY and Virgin would be reducing prices. I'm thinking of dropping SKY as we don't watch the movies (they're all repeats) and the other channels like Bravo show repeats of C4 programs, rip-off.
SKY sent me a leaflet saying as a loyal customer I could have £100 off the price of a HD box and reduced installation of £30. Cheeky beggars, the money they've had off me since 1989 they should pay me to have one

First point,
The pictures on the HD programmes are stunning!
Second point,
The actual percentage of programmes actually broadcast in this format are miniscule. Even most of the programmes shown on the supposed HD channels are in actual fact standard def (I am thinking Sky 1HD, which just shows the same shows as Sky 1 with only the very latest big shows broadcast in HD)
Now me being of the "Gotta be the first" breed signed up for HD almost as soon as it came out and though we have been promised a steady increse in the number of HD programmes they have yet to materialise. Even the latest series of Doctor who was standard def only. But on the plus side the footy looks fantastic,
You pay your money, you take your choice :D

Neither, spend more on your landy or buy another one!

Correct, but you can buy an external HD drive for about £150 making it the cheepest (if you don't include buying x-box) HD DVD player currently available
