Contact the manufactures, If they are anything Colway, you'll get a new tyre.

I only managed to ruin one of mine, these are the Technic Amazons, same design.

My fault, had a slow bead seal leak, kept blowing it back up, and after goin up and down on the pressure for too long the thing has collapsed internally!

Felt like the wheel was running on a shot wheel bearing, pulled me over

The actual tyre is still up, even now 2 or 3 months later, mind you the tyre is a funny shape now, you think they are lumpy because of the tread, this one is a little bit more :?

paddocks should sort it, and in turn they'll get it sorted by insa turbo. sounds like you just got a bad tyre... could happen with a 30 quid remould, could happen with a 200 quid new tyre - it just happens sometimes

Not exactly, what happened to Oz wouldnt happen to a £200 new tyre, because it isnt a remould therefore impossible for that kind of seperation.

Just serves to reinforce the reasons why so many of us dont ever skimp on tyres...just not worth it.

I had a BFG All Terrain just fall off the rim a few years back and get totally mangled.  There was no obvious reason for it;  it's never happened before or since.  Cost me a new one though.

which no doubt cost more than a remould... hence the reason people buy them

Falling off a rim is totally different to a remould seperating which is far more common tbh.

Sue them, selling substandard tyres is pretty dodgy.

Tyres dont have to be remoulds to fail!

This was a 2 week old Goodyear excellence, which had covered 1500 miles!

I was doing 130Kph on the A20 south of Limoges in france when this happened

Oz,

If you are emailing them the picture, ensure that you put in your email when and where you bought it, that you've only had it for 2 weeks and only done x amount of miles etc.   Incidently, did they fit the tyre to the wheel rim and to the car? Try and get them to confirm in writing or via the email that they will send you a replacement.  Once they do confirm this, I would suggest that, legally, they have accepted responsibility for the faulty tyre.

Once you have received your new tyre I would ask them again to sort out the headlamp and bonnet damage.  If they still say no, I would suggest that you speak to your insurance company and ask them to make a claim against the tyre supplier, citing that as a direct result of the faulty tyre that they supplied to you, damage has been caused to your vehicle as a result of their faulty tyre.

Good Luck!

Im sure paddock will sort it, thats not a colway / greenway BTW, they are made a bit differently to insa, Colway have ISO 9002 same as the new tyre manufacturers, insa dont, hence why we dont sell them...

If you want to get a new headlight etc, try talking nicely to them, i deal with situations like this everyday, we, like paddock cover our backsides so we arnt liable for anything in this world of everyone suing, but if the person down the phone is being honest we will do everything we can to help them.. and im sure paddock will..

Having looked closer, were you off road / laning at the time?

It looks more like it has been ripped (possibly by something in the ground).

Good luck getting a replacement
