just hired a bike trailer to pick up a bike in rugby
ow the hell is the bike supposed to stay on the trailer
ok i presume you strap it down but what stops it falling side ways!!!!!!!
it cannot be that bar across the front wheel ??????
going early in the morning should be there between 8 and 9

best to use ratchet straps and tie them from the handlebars ..pulls the forks down on to the trailer ,as a precaution i also tie the back end down as well ,stops it bouncing up if you go over a bump :wink:

Yep...& a couple of straps to steady it...they require little to keep them upright.
Ensure you strap it so you are not pulling on suspension.

rathet strap down at front preferably on bottom yoke, but handlebars will do(you can bend the bars!!)
Tighten it down so it compresses the suspension a fair bit.
Same at the rear, one either side(NOT over the seat) onto seat rails or rear footrest hangers, and again compress the suspension a fair bit. This will hold it safe.
This is speaking from a lot of bike strapping down experience(main dealer for 7 years) and many many bikes carried.
Dont skimp on straps, its not worth losing the bike.
