Title: Power steering woes
Post by: kevinragman on August 25, 2007, 17:11:57
:( Does anyone have any idea where to get the pipework for a power steering pump?  I have gained a split in mine and removed all the intercooler pipework to gain access to it.  The one that's split is the one that comes from the top of the box to the underneath of the box.  The other two seem fine.  The problem being its a left hand drive one.     Any ideas :?:

your local hydraulic place, pirtek or similar should be able to make them up or find a breakers

 Cheers matey.  I was thinking along the lines of a hydraulic pipe place.  If I were to get the connections, would it be possible to get a length of braided pipe and make one that way?  Its a bit hard to drive it without it.   It always happens on a public holiday as well :(sulk):

If you are talking about the low pressure feed from the reservoir to the pump you can do them

But if its a high pressure pipe, the connections have to be clamped by a specialist

Thanks for that info, I haven't a clue what it does but sounds feasable.  If it comes from the top of box and goes to the bottom sound like it could be the one.  I thought I may struggle as being left hand drive, but if I can get one made up that will be sweet.  Thanks.
