Post by: gtomo2 on August 26, 2007, 15:36:20
Ok my in laws have got a puintutre in the disco not a problem i thought. But they have locking wheel nuts and no key to undo them ( the garadge didn't put it back in the disco after the service) . So we are at a lost without finding a scally to undo them has anyone got a locking wheel nut socket to undo the wheel nuts. we dont know  what letter it is but iirc there are only 10 differant keys for them. So thinking between us 3500 members we must have all 10 types. if you can help ring me on 07871583211

if you clean it up i think there is a few digits stamped in them, so you know what one you need.

chisel, hammer, smack, smack, smack, and hope it loosens it.
was only about a month ago me mate at his garage showed me some numbers somewhere for the wheelnuts, just cannot for the life of me remember, but do remember they are very faint and have to really clean it up to read it.

Well big chiesl and bigger hammer and the locking nut is off. Used a normal nut off the spare to put back on so at least the mother in law can go home tomorrow.  :(contented):  \:D/  =D>  and get her locking nut key back from the garage. I am thinking of doing a invoice for her to give to the garage for labour and call out fee to change the spare.

For future referance I have been told that a large "Gator-Grip" Socket makes an ideal one size fits all locking wheel nut remover :(
