Title: Removing a washer bottle - 2 bolts or are some hidden
Post by: auf_wiedersehen_pet on August 29, 2007, 21:14:28
I want to temporarily remove my washer bottle (300TDi with ABS) so I can access a grommet to pass a wire through.

I've taken out the two bolts which hold the top of the bottle to the bulkhead. Are there any others hidden. It feels like it is still held in somewhere.

Isn't there one or more at the bottom?

Don't suppose if you know if it is front, back, wing side or engine side?

2 more at the bottom. 10mm nuts accessed from inside the wheelarch, you need to hold the tops with a very long phillips from the engine bay.

I found it totally impossible so I ground the nuts off (wheelearch) and out it came.

That's my kind of answers Stu.

Thanks to you both.

Spot on Stu.

They actually came off with a quick squirt of WD40.

Many thanks.
