Ah dont be cheeky
Its embarrased a few of the green oval men
It even suprised me how well it performs for £300 and bog standard just added Colway Ctrax tyres
Going to a show at the weekend and I know some of the military purists will have some thing to say, so I want to be prepaired

I had a 5 door Vitara before the Disco and found it to be a good all round vehicle but my mates called me Shirley when I wasn't looking,

I have a GV 2003 and used to have a 1994 discovery 300tdi.

I have sold the disco, the suzuki is so much better day to day, but as for it been better off road....

There is only one type of suzuki better off road than a landrover, the one driven by someone who does not know what a land rover is capable of!

My little Jimny has suprised and embarresed a lot of supposidly superior vehicles. If I can't get through then yer average Landrover ain't gonna get through either. Even seen an Ibex on Simex get stuck and I got through on Colways!

to true i love my vit to bits and it does all i ask of her BUT there does come a time when you want a bit more power and a stronge rig to drive ( a vit owners know the front diff are a weak spot) and it as to be one of those green oval type things.

i know i prob oppend a can of worms but you just cant compete with some of them out there and yes sometimes i wish i had one but its all down to the money.

until then ill stick with the vitara and have a some good fun in the mud

Haing A Disco and a Vit is a bit of an eye opener.

Took both down a lane that we took the vit up yesterday and I have to say, the 2 discos took a bit of pummeling from the vegitation. Both had to stop and take off our aerials. My wingmorros ended up folded in and I have a lot of t-cut work to do. Through all of this Alison sat behind in Rabbit wondering what we were doing to take so long.

The Disco give that air of being king of the world, but its big. It seems easier to know exactly where the Vit is at all times but that may be part of me getting used to the Disco. Its also nice that you can more or less see all of the Vit. Mainly because of it she's now staying and the Audi is going.

End of the day, Horses for courses, there are things I'd do in the vit (close eyes, point it where you are *hoping to end up* and floor it) that I'd never try in 1 1/2 ton+ of Disco. I'm guessing Discos dont bounce off things quite like a Vit.

As for the military, I doublt it. A well placed paint grenate could probobly take out a zook, no point being able to take loads of punishment with a dead crew. The chassis and drivetrain will take abuse, as will the engine, the body wont.
