What you need is an OH-F**K o meter. I have one of those installed in the TD5. The reference number is WIFE version 2.0
In its normal installation position on the passenger seat the OFM will emit a shrill warning whenever you go off road (tesco's carpark for instance) or when the satnav takes us down the literal shortest route 8)
WIFE version 2.0 is available for hire - she doesn't know yet so

if its just for protection ,then i have a roll hoop which you can modify if you want it ,it came off a 90,with a bit of cutting and welding im sure it will fit

I have the "WIFE version 2.3" its the same as yours but emits a constant wailing sound from the moment you mention any idea of off roading.
I had a similar fitting position but have now installed it in the boot to dull the noise.
