Depends if youve just forked out 15-20k for a retired race horse :wink: (not me, twas my old neighbours).

I shouldn't complain really. The 10 acres cost Â£27k because it was in poor condition. After some work and about Â£2k of fencing and the stable block its been unofficially valued at between Â£150k and Â£185k :shock: :D

And let's face it, you could apply the same slogan to Land Rover ownership :lol:

Give me something mechanical without a mind (and sense of humour) of it's own any time.

Still got an extra bum from when I fell off. :oops:

Post by: narked on September 01, 2007, 00:57:54: Know about this one all too well. Luckily I'm not the one footing the bill! I live with my gf and her parent's, and they've got 2 horses. Her dad's is costing a fortune year-round at the moment due to the fact she's still recovering from a nasty injury last year. One of those where the vet ends up called out at midnight, and when he sees it says "Before I suggest a suitable treatment, you need to decide how much this horse is worth to you...".

Me and the "mother in law" are of the opinion that they're both a waste of time and money, and so are the horses ;) The gf also for some reason doesn't like my pet-name for her horse. I can't see what' so bad about "Pedigree Chum".

He couldn't handle an 88 model, she'd wear him out straight away :P :lol: But he'd have fun finding out :lol:
