And if so do they want another one?
A very varied group of questions, with some cryptics & some really obscure ones
-
Don't remember them
But they sound good fun, yes please!
.... as long as you can't cheat by using search engines

Right here's the first 10
1. What year was the Victoria Cross inaugurated?
2. Name Batmans alter-egos parents.
3. Which sporting legends charity does comedian Robin Williams support as often as his schedule allows?
4. What car does Bruce Springsteen sing about in the song 'Racing In The Streets'?
5. Who made a speech that is best known for its "I Have A Dream..." section?
6. Who is Isildurs heir?
7. What type of car did Johnny Cash build 'One Piece At A Time'?
8. In what film did Adam West (TV's 'Batman') play himself?
9. Name a 'Musical' British aircraft?
10. Hiroshima. What was the type of aircradt, its 'Nosename' & what time was the detonation?
That's your starter for 10 :D

C'mon it's not that difficult surely?
-
Number six is nice and easy, trying to work out the others without resorting to the net, for now anyway :)
-
Number 10...the name is also a song for O.M.D.
-
 Think I'd better stick to the kids version of Trivial Pursuit :D
-
considering the likely content of most peoples christmas sockings this year... question 6 could well read "who did isilidirs hair" and still get a fair response :)
and as for number 10, guess who's got an OMD track stuck in his head now :(
-
ok here goes
1. 1854
2. Mr and Mrs Wayne  Charles and Cythia?
3 :?:
4 :?:
5 Martin Luther King
6 Meneldil

9 Boulton Paul "Bugle"
10 Boeing B29 Superfortress Enola Gay Aug 8 1945 10.17 am

Well done, you've alll done very well :D
My other option on the Musical Aircraft was 'Nimrod' (Variations)
The time for Hiroshima was 08:15, as there's an excellent (but thought-provoking) book telling the story of a few survivors, simply called 'Hiroshima' by John Hersey (http://www.herseyhiroshima.com/)
The Adam West film I was thinking of was 'Hooper' (where Burt Reynolds as Sonny Hooper) doubles for Adam - who is referred to in the film as Mr West (& the closing credits state he plays himself)
Isildurs heir. Tricky one, in the film Aragorn is referred to by Legolas as his heir ('Fellowship', at the council at Riverndell)

Anyone want another one???
-
Go on then - but I'll still be numb from the neck up
-
Sorry I was rushed for the answers.
1. Victoria Cross was inagurated in 1856 by (obviously) Queen Victoria with the metal from a captured cannon.
2. Bruce Waynes parents were (Dr) Thomas & Martha
3. Robin Williams does indeed support (Tour de France star) Lance Armstrongs 'Ride For The Roses' Cancer research/support charity.
4. Yes, a "69 Chevvy with a 396. Fuellie Heads & Hirst on the floor"
5. That great man 'MLK', could easily have been the first black President
6. In the film doesn't Boromir say "This Is Isildurs Heir?, A Ranger!?"
7. A Cadillac.
8. See above
9. See above (or if American a Valkyrie?)
10. See above
One to consider;
Which band had a final clearance sale in the early '90's, including an Antipodean song??
