Haas anyone bought the 200 pound cats for the 3.9 v8 disco of ebay as i would like to know if they r as good as they say they r.
-
I binned mine as I'm on LPG.
-
What does that mean? by binning the cats on lpg?

Not needed, they are meant for petrol burners, lpg does not have the same exhaust gasses as petrol

So I literaly put them in the bin :) albeit the one marked 'precious scrap', £30 better off.
I think mine were blocked though, I would loose an exhaust gasket every time I towed anything and without them I'm 10% better off in fuel consumption (ie 1 mpg).

This lot do em for just over 130 +vat,

I've had stuff from them before and they seem kosher.

I remember reading in an artcile that rekoned a suitable cleaner for decoking cats was lemon juice or probably more to the point would be citric acid. I think this was more to do with diesels though were the sulphur emmissions from dino diesel rearly clogs up cats a treat.

Thats as good as any reason to bin them. Right time to actually get the lpg fixed. I want 10% better mpg and a louder exhaust!
Apologies for going slightly off topic...couldnt resist
