Haas anyone bought the 200 pound cats for the 3.9 v8 disco of ebay as i would like to know if they r as good as they say they r.

I binned mine as I'm on LPG.

What does that mean? by binning the cats on lpg?

Not needed, they are meant for petrol burners, lpg does not have the same exhaust gasses as petrol

So I literaly put them in the bin :)  albeit the one marked 'precious scrap', £30 better off.

I think mine were blocked though, I would loose an exhaust gasket every time I towed anything and without them I'm 10% better off in fuel consumption (ie 1 mpg).

I remember reading in an artcile that rekoned a suitable cleaner for decoking cats was lemon juice or probably more to the point would be citric acid. I think this was more to do with diesels though were the sulphur emmissions from dino diesel rearly clogs up cats a treat.

Thats as good as any reason to bin them. Right time to actually get the lpg fixed. I want 10% better mpg and a louder exhaust!
