Title: lighting electrics
Post by: sardonicus on September 02, 2007, 12:35:58
Took the ambulance for an m.o.t.the other day, passed no problem, everything working etc. Aweek later the lights seem to have developed a short some where.
When i switch the side lights on the front indicators come on as well(not flashing),also the rear ones but no other lights.brake and reversing lights work as they should,so does dip and main beam.
any ideas besides examining evey possible inch of wiring and connections?
I have allthe wiring hanging out the dash at the moment, will try to connect power directly to rear lights from switch, bypassing front sides...

This sort of thing (random lights coming on with others) is invariably down to earthing problems.  I'd check your earths before your live feeds.
