If so, what is it you do and what do you love about it ? That bit, you don't have to answer !!!

I work for Trading Standards and can't be bothered with all the aggro I get anymore. Fortunately I'm only part time as my wife's a doctor and I get to play with the children for half the week :D :D
-
Hmmm... I work for me. Upside is the boss is nice, downside is that I can't very well complain to him
-
Got together with a business partner (also worked for the same company as I did), and set up our own electrical contracting business. Been going for about four months now, and loving every day!
Be your own boss, and do your own thing!
-
I should of said...
I work in what's probably the best bike shop in the world !!!
I meet loads of interesting people from torette suffering transvestites to very VERY wealthy people, famous people (Robbie Williams, a few moto GP riders, footballers, TOR editors !!! ) and we have a load of off roading customers, and our car park always has the odd mud pile on it !!! Reason for starting this thread, I was in the bath, reflecting on what I had done today, it consisted of talking about (amongst other things) Land Rovers and laning...
We make our own stickers !!! Yes all the type you like...
And best of all...we also have a bar !!!
Not a job....more of a lifestyle !!!

Love is a very strong word, not one I would necessarily equate with my chosen occupation.
It is one that when you first take the oath, fills you with a great sense of pride.
However, as time goes by, it becomes apparent that the World is not black and white but more varying shades of gray, due to the petty bureaucrats that are in command.
So Love my Job? Not necessarily.Regret for joining? No. Concern for what it has done to me? Yes, as I am no longer able to feel the way that I did about it. :(
But, I do see some funny stuff, which makes it worthwhile
-
I do
Where else do you get to talk about off roading with people that understand
Get to drive the best cars in the world

Ditto but my job title is a "Refuse and Recycling Ranger for public open space"!!! Bin man for short
I like it and have been doing it for about 4 months now. I get weekends off which is great and a novelty to me. 1 bloke takes the mick and tells me off when he changes how we are going to do things and not tell me but hey, there is always 1 numpty right???
I used to be a postie too and loved that too. I left as I moved house and I wanted weekends back and the managers there were just being picky on how to save the next penny. The job on paper is great.
I feel lucky to have done 2 jobs I like. rol on when I can apply for my HGV to drive the lorries:D
-
I'm a photographer, and I've worked in both stills and television for twenty years. I've travelled the world (been to most places) and worked on some top stuff (F1, BTCC, World Cup football, golf, tennis, news, docos, features).
Not always fun (standing in the rain at 4.30am in the winter for GMTV) but sometimes it can be (drinks in Monaco at dawn, days off in Australia, travelling across Brazil, put it all on expenses :D ).
Wouldn't change it, I'm lovin' it!
-
ours is a boarding school for boys with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
That's interesting, for the last part of my training I chose an EBD school. They're certainly exceptional, I'll give you that!
I don't want to tempt fate, but I'm in the second week of my new job (physics teacher) after a year's training, and so far, I'm loving it.
-

I have two part-time jobs.
My primary job is as a "Youth Worker",for a charitable organisation, where my colleagues and I take a portable pitch round our County to give kids, who live in not too glamorous areas, the chance to have a bit of fun, playing football.
Some kids are good, :) some not so good, but a lot of the time, they can come out with the most random comments and gems of statements, that make you smile.
My secondary job is a bus driver, which is pretty boring, as i've done this forever.
The best part of this job, is i don't have to answer stupid questions from the punters, as i have a Conductor/Conductress to do that.
-
