Yer he is still missing, but while they where looking for him they have found 6   yes 6 unrecorded plane wrecks in the mountains.

So they never looked very hard for those poor souls then  :?

Living in the UK, where (certainly in the English bit) I doubt you could find any point of land which is more than 10 miles from a road, it's just odd to me to think you could lose 6 aircraft and not find them again for dozens of years.

America is a HUGE place.... having driven quite a lot, and some of it in the area where Steve has gone missing, i can honestly say that it wouldn't surprise me if they never find him, or the remains (if it crashed) of the aircraft he was in....  which is very sad indeed...... he was one oif the world pushers of boundaries......

Here's hoping a miracle occurs....!!

Last I heard was that they were asking for volunteers to search new millitary satellite images on the net.

Yup, anyone can take part, see here (http://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=9TSZK4G35XEZJZG21T60).

Basically you are supplied with high-res tiles of the Nevada desert taken recently and have to log anything which looks out of place in the images.
