Ok guys and gals.
I had turbo and intercooler probs + lots of smoke..
Basically my turbo was drinking the oil up and spiting it in to the intecooler.. so i fort i would take it off and have a look at it. After inspecting it to finds that the blades and bearings were way past there use by date!!! :(
So i replaced it with a second hand turbo that i know was running fine b4 i put it on my disco. Also cleaned the intercooler and pipes. fited new air filter, oil filter and oil.
After letting her warm up i gave her a test run. discoverd bottum intercooler hose was not on correctly. noticed oil that had come out of it. checked the intercooler and there was about half an inch of oil in the bottom of it and all the pipes were oilly.
Any one got any ideas on what this problem could be?
cheers guys

Where does the engine cankcase breather go to? I assume this is a TDi engine.
On the VMs fitted to RRC the breather went to the airfilter, so if the engine was breathing heavy it could put a significant quantity of oil into the air intake ahead of the turbo.

yes sorry its a 300tdi. could'nt see any oil on the air inlet side of the turbo up to the air box. nor in the air inlet side of the turbo its self

what about the erg plate? found all items full of crud
