Title: lights fault
Post by: woody on September 17, 2007, 21:46:00
both rear flashers went US last week
traced the fault

bulb holders have been replaced from main steelers at a very reasonable price of £2.04 each

the problem with one of the lights is the plug that goes into the bulb holder is corroded

the main steelers don't sell the plug but can offer me a link wire off a defender with the same plug on for £11 +vat

so come on whats the cheaper alternative

I could make you a lead for for £5.50 including postage...  just need to cut your old plug off, and connect the two new wires to your old ones.

Just solder two wires onto the pins and then fill it all in with clear silicone sealant then join on to original harness
