:? BIT OF A SILLY QUESTION WHY DOES A VM RANGIE HAVE 2 BATTERIES I AM THINKING OF FITTING A WINCH IN THE NEAR FUTURE SO WHICH WOULD BE THE BEST BATTERY TO CONNECT IT TO THANKS CARL

As far as I'm aware the batteries are just linked in parallel so it deson't matter which one you connect it to it will take power from both.
As for why they have 2, thats a case of them needing relatively a lot of power to start them. The can start on just one, but you do notice the loss.

my VM has twin batteries came as standard as i have the original extras list and it was not on it , all i have done with the winch is wire it to one of the batteries and its worked fine
