Highway maintenance stickers if you don't work for highways? :?:
-
dont see how they can be illegal, its not a government, or emergency sticker, just a reflective safety sticker.
they are usefull on motorways if you also carry an orange strobe, in the road works!
-
That's what i thought, only my best man has just got a new trooper with em on and wants to go play on the road works near his house.
I thought the cops would not take too well to it tho.
-
dont think they will!
got to remember, if there is a road closed sign and you go around it, you have then broken the law!
local cops might get a bit wise to the same truck mucking about at all the local roadworks.
-
let us know how he gets on
-
If he gets away with it we can start a new sport like them urban free runners! :D
-
Don't let Highways catch you!!! Because they will call the Police...
-
They won't get me cos i won't be there! I have my own land for that kind of thing.
-
go and cal the police then take pictures for us  8) :D
-
And i would grass a mate why?
-
Not a good idea! Yep my 130 has a sticker on the back and beacon's but it aint to nip through roadworks in a hurry or down closed roads - cos I'd get into trouble!
They are only supposed to be displayed on vehicle that working in or setting up streetworks. Which we do with the 130 occasionally!
-
cant be that illegal our friends in the travelling community all have them
-
:? Maverick, tell your mate to find something a bit more intelligent to do, "playing" in roadworks is stupid and highly dangerous to those working within them, like my husband.
-
Tried that hence wanting to know if the stickers are ok. That said he is possessed of free will.
-
And i would grass a mate why?
just a joke mate :D
-

Which is why you would grass him up in'it.

probably nicked them from a highways depot! Oooh, hush my mouth, I'll go to Hell for that one!
Apparently they get them to add more credibility to their tarmac laying and tree lopping scams!
I'm doomed!

My thoughts exactly, only it's me he might be running down. My first reaction to his plan couldn't be posted here.
Tell him to think about us people who have to go out and work on the roads to keep them open and safe for the likes of him to drive on. You've got 40t trucks hurtling past at close to 60mph, cars at 70mph+ and only a line of cones between you and them. Tell him not to be such a !*@%.
Oh and there's no reason why he can't have the sticker.
-
My best man aint too happy with me cos i peeled his stickers off and burnt them to his exhaust!
Told him it would be no different cogs to townies carving about in the woods he keepers, that shut him up.
-
:D :D :D :D :D

Could be good for getting off those 'special' motorway exits, there is one near me on the M6, it would cut about 20 minutes off my journey time if i'm coming south but its just not worth getting caught!!
-
l!

l
might as well give up laning then
common to see "road closed" signs in some lanes, and UCR's as well, the antis and nimbys put them out to prevent you from travelling, often just for the weekend
after a bit you get to know where they are, just ignore them
