Title: Longer brake hoses for a 300tdi
Post by: Wanderer on January 04, 2005, 22:45:12
Just an observation.

With my brake hose problems it turned out that the only hoses in stock were 300tdi ones. So I measured them up against my old ones. Hoping they were longer.
It turns out the 300tdi ones are about 2 inches shorter than the 200 ones.
Maybe if someone's doing a lift it might work with 200 hoses to make the difference in travel.

I can't say for definate that they use the same metric thread. I'd think that they do.

Is it because the 300tdi has anti roll bars and thus not as much travel as the 200 tdi

Dunno.
I thought they were only on the back.

On the Rangie it's a thick one on the front and thin on the back, but if you have Goodridge hoses made they cost no more for any length so I had 3 inches extra to cope with the extra droop travel!
