well you can guess by the title what this one s about.....
basicaly they work fine on both low and high speed settings, but as soon as i cancel them, they stop where they were, this is the same on the intermitant wipe, it gets about half way and stops, but if u give it alitle help with my hand it will make it back to the park possition....
so is this my wiper motor or a relay thats causing the problem????
OH AND IS THIS A MOT FAIL???????

There's a plastic position sensor on the end of the wiper motor.
My guess is that is knackered.

And they are cheap !!!!, simply buy, unplug, plug...frustration over !!

and the answer to the other question is, no they wont fail mot as they work, you just have the fun of switching them off in the right position on the screen

or you could go for the chav (DTM-a-like) vertical look :P

Yes that's right Hobbit, my defender has gone thru 2 MOTs with the wipers exactly the same. Might get round to fixing them one day

It's going to be the park switch thats worn

It's the little white oblong box on the top of this motor. This ones from a lightweight but i think there all pretty much the same.
