Just got a new Hi-Lift jack, has anyone ever used one of the Hi-Lift Bumper lift attachments (link (http://www.hi-lift.com/products/bumperlift.htm)) with standard Discovery Bumpers? Any damage/problems? Trying to decide whether to buy one of these or fit jackmates/HD bumper.
Thanks.

must admit all that weight on the normall bumper will prob just bend it , ive used a highlift on the standard bumper fine, and at the rear i jack off the toe bar
-
IMHO you are likely to bend a standard bumper.

i dont think there that great! but yes, you will need jackable sills or bumper

I bought high lift brackets that fit onto the front bumper mounts. They work fine. I,ve got them spare now as I fitted a winch bumper. I got mine from Rebel 4x4.

Bent my standard bumper with the hi-lift . . . .

Does tree sliders count as jackable sills? One end bolts to the out rigger too.
-
Be wary of jacking off side sills as it is possible to twist / warp the bodywork.

Got the paddocks HD front & rear bumpers on mine and with the 90/110 adaptor on the hi-lift I never jack it any other way

On soft dash RRC there is a jacking point in the front bumper, surpried it's not on the Disco too.
