Title: best £45 ive spent in agies
Post by: disco-v8 on September 29, 2007, 01:57:18
yep just payed for another years of motoring, just got my truck MOT'd :D

was very worried about alot of stuff after puting a few mods on to make it a better off roader, but after a month or two of welding fixing, and replacing its passed first time :D

as mines a 3.9 V8 im always worried about the emissions test and ive got no way of knowing if its going to be ok, except for tuning the engine abit and hope its ok.... but luckily it pssed that fine!!!!!

and even more good news, was that the MOT tester told me he put it on a 3.5 CO test (V8 without cats) instead of a 0.5 CO test (300 series V8 with cats) so i had abigger margine to pass in (VERY HAPPY)....... he told me that in all his books it says that my model shud be tested for cats, my engine code is the 1 with cats, BUT my chassis number says it shouldnt have cats  :D .... but didnt realy matter as it passed with a 0.44 CO so would of passed the lower one anyway

so now hes told me mine doesnt need to be tested for cats you know what ill be doing next................... TUBULAR MANIFOLDS!!!!!!! bye bye cats lol

aint it great to have a realy early 300 series (L reg 1994) it gets away with everything

your story is exactly the same as what happened to me this week. 94 v8 fitted with cats. information says it shouldn't have them and so it was tested as less cats. first time pass as well.
