Title: TOP GEAR IS BACK!

And i found out theres a pub about 15 mins walk from my halls that shows top gear on the big screens on a sunday night :D

Dunsfold made some major changes to its conditions of use, they probobly didnt need to :)

Did you know that you don't pay any extra for sky plus now?? it just costs you to buy the box and your standard monthly fee, they've dropped the sky plus fee :shock:

How hard is it to record to a DVD from there? We are in on 13th and 25th October; I'll swap the DVD's for a few packets of Cheetos?

Yeh I would be loath to pay it as well, but we came back from hols and the box was fubar, so they offered to give me a standard recon box for Â£79.99 or the sky plus new box for Â£149. I said don't be silly to the sky plus costs, so the sales guy said, OK I can do it for Â£99 I said "when are they firring it"!!

I'll make sure we record it and I'll burn them down to dvd. Saves in a microsoft format but if thats an issue I can probobly do proper dvd video. Just get more on a data dvd.

OK - 2 bags of each; we are in saturday, can you get down to the docks to swap them?

THe format doesn't matter really; I can concert it onboard anyway and we can play the DVD in the wardroom while 'testing' a cold beer.

Yes Stelvio is the best road in the world, and the best light weight drivers car is.... of course the Elsie! (Stelvio or bust 2002 and 2003, best holidays I ever had! and we did all the other passes as well, St Bernard is amazing)

we did stelvio in august this year and it was a nightmare - due to the fact that we were in a fiat punto, with 2 adults, 2 kids and camping gear - we were almost overtaken up hill by pushbikers :oops: :oops:

so i suspect it really depends what car you are in as to how good the road is :roll:

well i'm thinking of taking a caravan with my 4.6 rrc but might have to dump the caravan at a campsite before having a bash at the stelvio!

And more recently Phillip Young has used it regularly for historic rallies. Nothing quite like an original 911RS or Lotus Cortina on full chat on the Stelvio hairpins :D
