Post by: lambert on October 08, 2007, 19:45:31
When no aspect ratio is given it is usually 80 yes? Eg 195/15 is actually 195/80/15 correct?

Thought you were on holiday.

Yes to best of my knowledge 80%, nagging feeling it might actually be 82% though.

Ta for info thought i was about right. Swmbo has decided after us hiring one that she would like a Jimny so i'm seeing what tyres it can have.

Yes , usually - although some tyres have 85% aspect ration. Some 4x4 tyre sites now quote actual diameter. Your Jimny will take 215 - 15 Colway AT's or MT's with a pro comp lift and a little trimming or 195 15s with no mods. I seem to remember the demo fleet ran 215/75-15 at's or mt's
