Title: Tangiers Orange Paint
Post by: L90OOK on October 18, 2007, 12:13:37
Having replace the rear cappings, gettings some new doors & rebuilding the engine...& a galvanized chassis on the cards....I have decided to respray the 110 in G4 colours.

Can anyone tell me where I can get this Tangiers Orange paint from & how much of it am I likely to need?

Cheers

P.S.  Dan...the stickers have gone too

Why have you got an outboard on the back of your truck? Too much Top Gear huh? Off to France?

Kubuta plant paint is close, and much harder to scratch....

Not that you can tell looking at my trailer...

Oooh, how difficult is it to replace the corner capping on the rear body? Can it be done without removing the body capping?

Do you mean the corners where the lights attach?
Yes they can be removed withouth taking the cappings off.  Very simple job, remove lights, drill out rivets & there off.
The ones in the photo are the original that I took off & had galvanized.  8)

Yeah, that's the part. That's excellent news as one of mine is damaged (by a badly fitted wheel carrier) and needs to be replaced. Is there anything special about the rivets used or are they the same as the ones you might buy in B&Q?

No they are standard 4.8mm rivets...I bought my rivet at a local land rover parts supplier though.
Give BROOKWELLS (http://www.brookwell.co.uk//url) a call.

Fantastic - thanks for that.

Sorry to hi-jack your thread, by the way. AFAIK, Tangiers Orange is a recognised colour that any paint place should be able to mix up for you.
