My 110 SW is sitting on 33 inch tyres and I suspect the suspension has also been lifted, but I don't know for sure. It's certainly a long way off the ground!
Anyway, the measurements from the centre of the wheel hubs to the outside edges of the front and rear wheel arch spats are about 490mm and 550mm respectively. Can anybody tell me how this compares to either a standard vehicle or a known lifted one?

mines 610mm on the back and 560mm on thr front.....

Hmm, ok. Is that a typical standard height or lifted?

Just fitted new springs and shocks to mine this week, I'll measure and post in the morning (working lates tonight).

my 90s got a 2" lift and its about 560-570 mm

lifted a little.......3"...and on 285/75/16 cooper stt's..

Does anybody have a standard height 110 because looking at some of the figures so far, mine appears to be lower than a typically lifted one. But, as I said, it's a bloomin' long way up to the driver seat. More than just an inch on the tyre radius would suggest.

Thanks Kevin. Not what you'd call conclusive, but it looks like it might be lifted except that the weight of the 8274 and huge winch bumper are dragging the front down a bit. Oh well, they're coming off soon so shall have to see what difference they make.
By chance, I swapped one of the rear wheels yesterday so I took a piccy of the suspension. The spring has a red stripe on it and the shocks are a sort of dark red colour. No visible markings. Anybody recognise them?

I'd be delighted if they were, but the Koni's I had on my Discovery were more orange than red so I'm not sure :?

I'm going down the demountable route - something I started about a year ago for my Discovery 1 but put to one side when I bought a Disco II :roll:

Is that a single red stripe, or a pair of them? If it's a pair it would seem to be standard LR heavy duty spring, see http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/springinfo.html . This would have been stock on a commercial LR without the self leveller. Was yours always a SW?
With a winch on the front, you may well have the LR HD fronts, which are just 90 rears, seems to be a pretty good set up in my experience.

I think it's usual, when the self leveller is consigned to it's righful place, to switch to the HD springs.
Coincidentally, it was Frogs Island who reccomended just using the standard springs on Heather, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had used them on vehicles in their workshops.

Hmm, as far as I know, yes. It's possible to see where the self-leveller was mounted underneath. The back axle is a later one (with disc brakes) and I've got a strong suspicion that the vehicle has been through the workshops of Frogs Island for a major overhaul at some time in the past, so the springs are almost certainly not the originals.

Could just be HD all round then, which would make sense.

Just to revisit this briefly, I've now removed the 8274 winch and substantial bumper from the front of my 110 and the ride height hasn't altered significantly. That'll be HD springs then :roll:

Painting all the wheels the same colour is ongoing at the moment (one at a time in rotation, so it's slow) and then it'll be tackling the wiring. The whole thing has been re-wired but it wasn't finished so a lot of stuff doesn't work. Connecting up the fuel gauge is at the top of the list!
After that I want to re-build the dashboard, which has been altered to suit the new wiring but not in a way that I like, and tidy up a few bits of bodywork. Oh, and I want to remove two forward facing fold-up seats from the back.
Once all that's done I'll start to think about how I'd like to mod it for myself :)
