Ok been trawling through all other posts associated with above.
About to fit new winch and bumper to defender. It's a Come-up Ds9.5 winch with seperate solenoid pack to mount out the way.
Where is best to mount this?
How have you routed the cables?
Ideally guys I'm looking for pics of where and how you have installed this to your 90.
Intend installing seperate battery so will need to look at split charging system. Whats best?

ok, ive recently re-fitted an EP9 when i changed trucks it has a built in solinoid. anyway as for wiring the winch in you will need 3 meters each of live and earth cable and a cut-out switch, i fitted the cutout onto the front of the battery box so it sits between the passengers feet, but can be reached from the drivers seat.
you wire the battery live into the back of the cutout with a small lengh of cable, then you run the live from the cutout to the winch. you also run the earth direct from the battery to the winch. i droped the cables out of the side of the battery box then run them up high and tight along the chassis rails making sure they are well tied in and no chance of hitting anything (exhaust etc) then under the engine still tied to the chassis, then up into the winch.
its very easy, i bought a wiring kit from here but you may have one already..

I used the padia kit too. You could probably do it cheaper but its a lot simpler with the kit the wires are all the right length and the terminals were all done already so no messing around
