Might as well get the cheapest you can because when you claim thay are all a shower of b*****ds

RRR was insured with Aflux, agreed value and a hefty premium because of it.  When the car got totalled they wriggled out of the agreed value, offered about half the amount then wanted way over the odds for the salvage.

I'm 28 with 2 years no claims and my insurance is due in early december so I've jumped the gun and gone to confused.com to get some quotes. Under modified i said Yes and it brings up a new screen. Looks at all the options you have for mods and all i can see is bullbar and spots, well I've got an A bar which technically is the same (to them) so I clock that and the spots and even though I'll have another years no claims, it went up by £120, so next year they'll be wanting £520 fully comp.
there was no mod option for roof light bar, snorkel, suspension lift or sump guard :?  :?:
Bit concerned over that as don't wanna invalidate my insurance over something they haven't listed as a modification :?:
I'm going to call NFU, Sureterm and Adrian Flux nearer the time as they appear to be the main 3 players in the 4x4 insurance
Debaiting now if i really want that A bar

They probably have a bit of small print saying something like phone them if you have and other modifications not listed.

I would certainly ring a company that understands these sort of modifications rather than an online universal site, the insurance risks associated with a lifted suspension are very different to a lowered suspension.

phoned admiral they wont issue cover if the vehicle has a steering guard as it means the vehicle will be used off road use i thought thats what 4x4s was intended for not really for school runs maybe i was wrong
