For IE/Windows:
The Google Toolbar: http://toolbar.google.com/
XP Service Pack 2: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/default.mspx
-
use this!!http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/start/ since I've been using it, I've had NO popups whatsoever!!

Firefox is also my browser of choice, very popular now in the industry and is not venuerable to any hacks or trojans that exploit the usual Internet Explorer security holes.

I've been using FireFox recently, but it seems slow at times and a large number of sites don't work properly as the JavaScript is written with only Internet Explorer in mind :(
-
As suggested above, I've got the Google toolbar. It seems to stop most pop ups - even those that Win XP SP2 misses out on!
Cheers

Whilst I am also a fan of Firefox when using Windows... don't believe that it isn't vulnerable to hacks or trojans... there are some about.
