Next on my wish list is a heavy duty rear bumper.
I have looked on Paddocks web site to see £208 +vat. I am hugely shocked about this.
Is there anywhere cheaper to buy them so I can see how many pennies I have to save for a long time??
For now I think I will just get a end cap!!!!! A bit cheaper!

I can personally recomend , First four off road, seem well made and fitted well, :) think it was similar money though :(
Dunno who it is but there is a company doing tubular rear bumpers, And cheaper , i must admit not my cuppa but each to there own, dunno if there on here or e-blag now n then ?? hope this helps

the tubular bumpers arent my cuppa on a disco either. Look good on a rangie though.
Looks like Ineed to save alot of pennies then

I,ve seen a company on e,bay doing H/D bumpers. They did them with rear light in bumper of without which ever you wanted.I,ve seen the tubular one and I wouldnt fancy one on a Disco

If you wanna go totally over the top, Goldigger 4x4 do a heavy duty rear one, complete with wicnh box...... which i think means cutting the rear chassis cross member off........
-
ive emailed guardian about making a bumper for my truck. they said that they got a rear bumper that matches the front one they do.
-
discoparts do a decent looking one not sure on the price.

I had a Discoparts rear bumper on my disco
It cost me £200 at Billing 2006
Nice bit of kit.
Holds on in 4 places and looks quite good too

I *was* trying to forget about that
Hence it only has 3 bolts in place at the time of the picture
Looked great till i bent it

i bought the first4 bumper through paddocks, great bit of kit, and worth the money, it keeps the back end standard looking but the bumper will take all that you can throw at it 8)

Got one from Paddocks JB and gonna have to disagree - ripped mine almost clean off at Shottle in July - broke the weld on the two outside brackets.
The best (imho) but it doesn't come cheap is the Scorpion one. That said, the PAddocks one isn't too bad. Just gotta be careful - I hit a rock with it that was hidden under the soil upon entering a 'bomb hole' - actually bent the ruddy thing .... albeit only a bit!
-
I've got a Scorpion one on mine. As all of the HD bumpers look the same .. I went for the one with the nicest welds and of course powder over galv ;-)
Just luck that it was Scorpion I guess.

One tip I've found that works a treat on HD bumpers - black Plasti-cost paint is great if ever you need to 'touch up' the odd scrape from off roading or a repair weld. Tis good :D
