Yesterday, I went to change the pads in my front brakes. Jack under radius arm, wheel off, couple of lb of mud and assorted vegetation removed from around brake assembly
Cleaned up pistons, pins etc, removed pads.
Put in new pads - D'OH!!! Guess whose double vented discs ain't standard 90 brakes?
Guess who couldn't lay hands on a set of 110 pads?
Guess who'd contaminated the old pads?
Guess who had to put the old contaminated pads back in.
Guess who had a 90 which pulled to the left when braking, worse the the Dnepr combo I was riding the other day?
guess who went and bought a can of brake cleaner today!! :D
Ho hum, 110 pads will be fitted as soon as I get 'em!

But it's a landrover!

What you should have done is have a list of all the phone numbers of all you local mud club buddies to call on - I have brake cleaner etc and no doubt so do others. Who knows some body may have access to 110 pads!
