Title: x-eng fan switch
Post by: burgerman on November 07, 2007, 18:44:25
Hi all, i have cured lots of issues with my heating recently, with help from certain M/C members, But i purchased a x- eng fan switch to control me leccy fans, great quality product, but the switch i got from l/rover cuts in too high for my liking,( just before the warning light comes on) which for a V8 is not too healthy, i took it out and tried to find a heat spec on it , but none found, anyone use/got any ideas what heat spec to run? or fitment from another vehicle ? so i can pop down the factors and get one locally. Cheers for any replies

 P.S its a 1991 V8 disco

I had the same problem with mine. As per the link theres lower ones. I went for 50101   84-79/88-83  with my 200tdi auto and not a problem since.

Most motor factors sell them.

Cheers for the link, i see the one they recomend is 88-93 degrees
So if i wanted it to cut in earlier i would need  86-76 ?? or would that be too low ??    Dont want to really buy/try/swap over a few of these unless i have to :?
