Switch gear, either the roller switch or the dip/main, deffo with uprated bulbs and no relays....

I get this problem and its one of my headlamp plugs that causes it, they need renewing as they have got hot at some stage and one terminal had gone rusty, it creates a bad connection.

If i wiggle the plug it sorts itself out for a while.

could be an earth fault as well.

Best bet is to hard wire them to the battery to ensure that they work, and if the do work that way, try the stalk and relays, etc.

Thats the problem, there isn't any relays on the 200 series disco, ALL the load is taken on the switch gear, most likely the poor connection problems the standard lamp connectors have, coupled with the increased load, have killed the switches....The answer is to change the switch gear and fit relays to carry the load BTDT, ask Evilgoat! Oh and fit better lamp connectors too....
