Goat Curry (with Dumplings, Rice & 'Peas') bought from here (http://www.sugarvine.com/Leeds/reviews/review_detail.asp?restaurantid=37484&name=Maureens+West+Indian+Restaurant)

Delicious, so is their Salt-Fish

Although not odd, I'll admit to having Steak & Kidney Pudding, with Rice & Pasta for breakfast at 04:20 this morning

Hi,

my children believe in leftovers as acceptable breakfast - this has resulted in (when they were at primary school) answers to

What did you have for breakfast?

pumpkin soup & garlic bread
rice & curried chicken
hummous & pita bread (a firm favourite)
rice, baked beans & cheese (developed when they were trying to feed themselves)
lasagne
tomato soup (another firm favourite)

this is just a selection from what can be available

and when asked - don't you have a normal breakfast - they are most offended

regards

ela

My mother used to make suet puddings and cover them with treacle. Heart attack on a plate, but to make it worse, if there was any left, she would deep fry it for breakfast!
Is it any wonder my Disco leans to the right all the time?

Boil a pound of turkey mince in vinegar add chicken gravy granuals to make a thick sauce. Leave to cool whilst cutting the top off an un-cut milk roll loaf and excavating the dough. Pour meat and sauce into hollow bread crust. Use bits of dough to dunk into meat and nibble crust and meat down as one.

Saves on plates and tastes superb!
