What are you amazed at.
The fact that he was doing 100mph, that sadly happens a lot.
The fact that a Chief Constable did some real police work, there are good ones out there I assure you.
Or the fact that he was three times over the limit the next morning, that just goes to show that you need to leave it 24 hour before you drive after drinking a lot.
To be fare at 52 years old and 50,000 miles a year for the last 20 years I am never amazed by the things people do on the road any longer, just saddened and some times mildly annoyed.
As I suspect you are too.
I am just thankful that this man was stopped before he killed someone and hope he learns his lesson.

Amazement caused by a CC who actually did something to do with Police work!

Well, sort of - he "pulled over the driver and called for support from officers."  Isn't the CC allowed to do the arresting bit?  :?

In theory, yes, but I've never known a CC to arrest anyone.

Agreed! I guess the officers that attended made sure it was done by the book!

Top marks to him.
