Post by: Lee_D on December 22, 2007, 01:53:37
Not done it yet on the 110 And guess it's about time I did.

Are there any tricks or is it straight forwards?

thats a good idea for doing the oil filter change
lee said fuel filter

lee what type of filter is it ?
a big cannister ?
or a little canister with a sediment bowl at the bottom ?

if its the big cannister, unscrew it make sure you get the seal ring off aswel, then screw new on back on, then theres a little bleed screw on the top of the distribution housing, 10mm with a screw driver slot in it IIRC undo that then prime the filter up, when all the air has gone fuel will start coming out

if its the 2 part
undo the center bolt then the bottom bowl will fall off
then just give the filter eliment a waggle and tug, it'll come out, just sometimes they like to fight
make sure that the sealing rings are all replaced though,
then its a matter of re-fitting then as above, bleeding up

If its the Big cannister job then fill the new filter with Diesel before you screw it back on and then you don't need to prime it up .....
