Pish and tish! Its all to do with car control and making best use of the revs, sort of, if you see what I mean!
Be careful that there aren't any unseen extras left on it. Sirens, lights and gun boxes have ben known to get left in

Excellent, somewhere to keep your GPS and sandwiches!

Ok no matter how cheap it is ... Don't do it... LSP will tell you Police cars are abused 24/7
Our Beat car is a 54 plate and creaks like a Spanish galleon, has been smashed twice, two new turbos not to mention all the other bits that have been replaced
The response cars are always in the garage for new bits. and the unmarked corsa has had a new engine on a 56 Plate... yep, the was my fault taking it through deep water.
I wouldn't risk it.
The only reason they are maintained well is because the spend a lot of time in the garage being fixed.
-
Ditto what LSP and Boggart said. They are driven hard, treated with little respect and they've had drunks and druggies sat puking on the back seat!
-
Oh I forgot about the amount of drunks you have in the back wetting them selves and throwing up
Sorry to put you off, mate but better know the truth...
However if it been used for armed responce they won't of had too many drunks in the car but the amount of kit they carry could sink an aircraft carrier.

Mind you, if it has been used by Armed Response, you can quarantee that the interior mirrors willbe in excellent condition, especially the litlle vanity ones.
I mean, if you've got a gun, you have to be able to get that funky beret at just the right angle and be able to practice that rakish half smile.

making best use of the revs
ie, using any less than all of them lacks efficiency? ;)

Do you get a week in a military prison and fined a months pay? Negligent discharge (known as an ND) is quite a serious offence in the British Army.
Not sure what weapon training the Police get, but when someone stuffs up they should come down on the individual like a ton of bricks.

It used to be instant removal of the ticket. What happens now? I've got no idea.

Of course! Something about getting the car balanced! :? All I know is that if you stamp on the loud peddle to much your arse overtakes your front and you are in the poop!

Yep, they loose their ticket and usually get busted down to Foot patrol and get served the dreaded "Reg 9"
Police talk for "You're in the deep brown stuff boy" They are always investigated.
