Title: Sedimenter bypass 200tdi
Post by: dave_2A_2.25Turbo on December 27, 2007, 18:00:13
Hmm.  All I'm getting at the fuel filter is air.   The pipes at the sender unit, although corroded, seem intact, but I can't get the unions undone at the sedimenter.  I was thinking of just cutting through the plastic pipes and using a bit of pipe over the top to join the two.  As it's now dark & wet, does anyone know what size pipe I need to get? (Diameter, not length)

I used 3/8 internal air pipe thats chemical proof (green flexi stuff) as a temp repair a year ago it's still on and holding though I do carry a foot of spare in the back just incase  I just cut it a few inches either side of the sedimenter slotted it on and added jubilee clips you get a bit of spillage/runback from the fuel line but only a cup full if that.

Cheers Lee. I doubl I'll get even that at the moment.  I just hope that's what it is - don't fancy forking out for a sender unit.
