My 300 def was painfully slow warming up so changed the Stat. on removal of the old one I found it was stuck open.  The temp now begines to rise on the gauge within a mile and the heater is now fantastic.  For the sake of a few quid change it, you never know.

My 300TDi was slow to warm up and the heater output was poor (even for a LR!).  I though the thermostat was stuck open, took it out and found it opened at 78 degrees! New 88 degree themostat and job done.
