Have to recommend A* assistance for anyone going abroad, I brought a year cover as I have a freelander. got to use it last week, it the first company I've rang up for help that actually keep ringing you back say they have sorted thing out and making sure your happy, none of this chasing up. car towed away in under 30 mins, taxi sorted and hire car ready (for me to thrash across France  )
only down side now is it's on a lorry on way back and could take up to 10 working days, plus the maindealer says it's got nothing to do with them until they get it back to strip it apart again for third time in 1 month :(

If you bought it from the Dealer, I'd reject it under the sale of goods act.

It certainly does seem to vary from dealer to dealer. We had a squeal develop in the rear brakes. Since it was under warranty my wife rang the dealer and they said they would send someone out. They arrived exactly when they said they would and checked it out. It was someone from the main dealer who came out, not a recovery company. Turned up in a Dicso with 'Customer care team' on the side. So our experience with the Norwich main dealer is very good so far. OK, credit where credit is due, It's Hunters!

got so pi**ed of talking to the jerk at the local dealer, that i'm looking at getting it done at different dealers, means no loan car, but if head-gasket has gone again i'm well within my right to claim back any Compensation
due to Inconvenience.

Thankfully the BBC have prepared disgruntled Land Rover owners a handy complaints letter:

You just need to alter the detail to suit your circumstances.
