Just wondered if anyone had a static caravan or a holiday cottage that they knew of, that was Cheap - for a short break sometime this year ?
Hoping for either mid April or early October - cant really go any other time because of kids..also needs to be in a fairly safe location due to our son being 'special needs'
have tried trawling the usual holiday sites - but they want huge ammounts for even a weekend break.
Thanks in advance

crazy as it sounds have a look at centreparcs. We are off in 2 weeks and for a cabin for 8 it was under 250 for a mid week break...bargain!!
if youve never been the facilities are superb.

I will second that. We have been going for three years now. :)

i will third CP as its ace! especially in the colder months as you go into the dome and its so nice and cosy in there, ive been swimming in december in the penrith one and it was snowing. quite surreal sitting there in your trunks with snow building on your head
plus it doesnt matter what weather it is, you will always have a good time in the main area or doing sports on site but if you go to a caravan in a town and it pees down you have to pay more to do any attractions that are under cover...
some sports in CP have to pay more but its a nominal fee plus the quality of the equipment is excellent and guaranteed clean!

seems ive struck a chord here. The reason we first went was we had 2 holidays one in Cornwall and one in the lakes. All i did all week was drive and came home more tired than when i left.
We had a think and looked on the net and went to the lakes CP , what a revalation. Arrive, park up car(if you are disabled you can have the car at your lodge) and didnt see it for a week....lol they even have the AA onsite for the departure day lol!!
thats five years ago and weve been at least once a year since, cant praise it enough. If you have a lottery win get the top executive lodge, awesome you wont leave the lodge heh!!

although butlins etc are not everyones cup of tea (mine especially) they doi have a lot of very cheap last minute offers, we booked haven in cornwall last year and got two full weeks for less than half of what some paid for 1 week because i waited until 3 days before we wanted to go away. as long as you are open to where you go there are a lot of very last minute bargains to be had.
Cheers Steve

No probs, glad to be of service. If you can't get through to him, PM me and I'll give the old fart a nudge! But be warned!!!!!! If he offers to take you for a 'wee walk', be afraid! I went for a walk with him. I started at 5ft 10 ins tall, and came back 4ft 5ins!
The breakfasts are good though! Black pudding, white pudding, fruit pudding, tatty scones, bacon, lorne sausage, eggs and fried bread! yum yum yum yum yum yum yum!
Just don't ask him what he and I got upto at :police: basic training!
