awful mate,do what ive done, trash the landy seats and put a pair of MR2 mk2 seats in so comfy, ive tried the bucket seats,I cant get in and out very well, there is no adjustment on them to speak of and I felt like id done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson after 50 miles in the seats. The mr2 seats have tilt adjustment, recline, heated if you want to wire em up.and pump up lumbar support and they are not too hard to put in and soooo comfy!!!! :D

Ive got some in my 90... I did a 300 mile trip to Peak District and didn't feal a thing.

Im 6"6 tall and they are the best thing ive ever done to it..

Its an arse to get in and out for the first 11tries... but afetr that its no problem at all.

The runners fit straight into the holes no problem.

As an added bonus, ive modified the fixings slightly.

This might be well known, and obvious, but i have fitted the bolts in from the underside of the seat box. This means that the head is underneath, with a washer and a nut is on top. The seat then sits over the stud of the bolt, with another nut and washer on the top.

This means that to remove the seat, its 4 nuts, rather than throw iting about with the bolts under the seat box.

Will they fit - does anyone know ?

I've got a chance on a pair of D2 fronts and was wondering about fitting them in the 110 - I've got a Anderson plug jump lead setup, so won't have to worry about getting at the battery in a hurry, but will the seats bolt straight(ish) in, or do you need to make up an adaptor plate ?

Ta,
Jim

Yeah they will - I know of a couple of people with D1 fronts in and JE Engineering fit D2 fronts as an option on their website.

These are actually my seats which i had trouble getting used to. I have now adjusted the rake of the seats with different packing, and have now decided to keep them. Getting in/out just needs practice, and i now have a technique, but a smaller than standard s/wheel is a must. I think on longer journeys i might need some support for the lower back. I did a trial in the car last week, and found them very good for offroad use. Tim

Not really...

Its a bit of a squeeze getting to the belt latches when you have a cubby box in, but you can do it easily. I keep meaning to get some longer ones, but its not that much of a problem.

One thing that i can see signs of is the belt rubbing on the 'leather' patches on the sides of the seats.. Its not done it to my side, but it has to the Mrs'... Prolly cause my legs are bigger which lifts the lap part from the seat....

JE want £2500 to fit D2 seats into a Defender , ok, so they are heated etc, but £2500..........that's pure thieving !

another place to get buckets is http://www.bansheemotorsport.co.uk/catalog/ (http://www.bansheemotorsport.co.uk/catalog/) they are a local (to me) based tuning company. i purchased my Sparco T2s and harnesses from them a few years back for a reasonable sum of 600 they are the reclining seats too. though not currently fitted in anything they were very comfy from what i remember!
