Title: Central Locking
Post by: Bobtail on January 02, 2008, 21:31:51
My central locking has a mind of its own

It will open two maybe three doors from the key

but if your inside and pull up the knob thingy on the door it will open and close

All the doors

Question is Why is this?

And how do i get all the doors to open and close from the key?

Help please

Cheers  Jim

Not quite sure how to solve it but if it helps make you feel like you're not the only one...my rangie has a mind of its own with central locking...i've disconnected it on the other 2 rangies

Blue won't open the passenger's door on the C/L, I refer to it as 'anti-hijack' but thruth is the motor isn't throwing the lock far enough for it to stay unlocked or it's slipping straight back, one of the two, I have never had time to look properly.

Ditto, I normally lean over and lock it from the passenger side -seems more reliable :)

Rusty will only open 3 of the doors on the key too although if you push the button down and up again they all work.
it's the rear drivers door that's dodgy. would be interested to know if everyone is having a prob with the same door!
