has anyone had this problem or can any body help mew out. :?

hi mate, could be the idle speed control valve, try removing it and the throttle valve and give it a good clean in petrol/thinners or carb cleaner, then refit.cant tell you were to locate them as ive not got my jimny today, but usually near the throttle valve, hopr this helps'

Think it may cure the problem, mine sometimes gets a bit of a surge going, usually when its cold tho, when warm runs ok.
What sort of tyres are you running on the jimny????im using bridgestone duellers the standard road tyre, but was thinking of getting some colway mud tyres on the old girl, cant seem to find any one that does them tho,any recommendations and advise greatly recieved,
ps ,has the management warning light come up in the dash since the surging problem???

ive got 235/75r15 wildcat exts but they did catch a bit, not any more. the saw came out
i almost had some colways, but desided to go a bit biger as i also wanted a 2 inch lift at some point. (now fitted)
john craddock's still has a set i think, we havent got any more exts in that size.

Colway gave gone out of business - there is a rumour of a rescue attempt but nothing has happened yet.
I have Goodyear Wrangler MTs which are well behaved on the road and in the mud but are a bit expensive.

Some Pajeros have it standard, my fathers does. Might be a neat way of doing it if you can find a scrap Paj :)
