Title: range bobtail

how much can i take out the rear on a 4 door rangie  i,ve heard of 20 inches but i want to make sure befor i start chopping  :-k

Depends if you want to keep the back seats/doors...!  :lol:

As far as I can figure... you could go as far forward as the chassis and suspension will allow.

But beware... all the evidence is that you will need an SVA inspection and cerrtificate.

if you much more than 18 ins you will have to modify rear doortop [assuming yours is 4 door]i[f 2 dooras much as susp will allow[20 +ins] good luck get cutting : :)

just read your post again and you say it is 4 door i must have old timers thingamejig so 18ins it is

This may be something for the future, bent the rear lower body panels in a hole that my old S3 would not have even noticed!
May cut some away for now.
have you noticed how clay extrudes through the bolt holes on a tow bracket? like spaghetti it is! Thats getting chopped soon as well.
