Does everyone have the problem of gettin water dumped through the heater system (and onto thier feet) when they go through deep water?
seems to just coem pooring out of the heater ports? any mods to stop it?
-
i use the wing top duct from paddocks and when it gets really deep cover the front vent with cling film oh and switch the heater off
-
make sure that the little squeezy tit in the bottom of the wing intake is clear of crud - that will stop some of the water goin into the heater.
not so sure that scoop on the inlet is the best way to stop it happening.

Don't some of the challenge trucks use a second snorkel - just for the heater intake ?
-
I had this problem with mine, found it to be the drain valve completely blocked.
-
With this problem you will usually you will find the drain is blocked, if the rubber bulb is clear (or removed completely) then it should lessen the problem however the drain-hole is a lot smaller than the intake so I would say you will not stop it completely.
Apart from a second snorkle, have you considered a snow intake (they are blank on the top and take the air from over the edge of the wing)? They are a genuine part but Blanchfords are advertising them and they may solve your problem.

Yep mine ws the same, the drainage plug thingy was blocked. all better now!
