im not too sure but i think its something to do with the springs on the mechanism, but dont quote me on that, on mine i can shut the drivers door an the pin will drop slightly an lock itself

i had this problem already, i used lots of wd40 in the lock and worked the ley both ways, spray the keys as you insert it too. try that, otherwise the springs are availible from e,bay. not expensive, goodluck. also try taking the door card off and spray the lock from behind too.  :D

I had this problem too to the extent it was bending my key

I used alot of wd40 down the lever inside and in the lock. I inserted kay half way and sprayed the wd40 in the lock then put key in and out loads of times.

This worked................. for a week

top tip though. the morning after wd40ing the lock, dont forget you did it and put the key in your mouth. WD40 doesnt taste nearly as nice as it smells!  ;)

your spring is on its way out, cople of pence for a new spring from ebay, but a nightmare job, you virtually have to strip the door down

I have a spring kit for all 5 doors. I read the manual and then decide it was best to leave well alone!
