That is downright spooky - look how quiet it is at first!

I've been in one storm a little like that in France. It was the usual quiet summer evening, then the wind rose, and rose, and didn't die down! By the next morning the campsite office had been flattened, bits of tree were everywhere, and the shower block had nearly been clobbered. Astonishingly nobody was injured, despite a fairly sizable tree falling within feet of a tent!

It would take more than a snorkel and wading pipes to geth throught that :shocked:
Two things struck me about that film
1) The speed at which the water rose
2) the size of that beard on the chap in the yellow T-shirt! You could hide a whole troop of ww2 Japanese soldiers in there!

Incredible, where was that taken?

You'd have to be a loon to go play in that before it settled down a bit, looks like a river burst or something.

In some countries, where they have frequent mud slides, they build channels to direct it away from houses, etc. Looks like that sort of thing to me.

Impressive stuff though!

Incredible, where was that taken?

According to the text when the 'window' is opened, it states;
Flash Flood in Kellick Creek at Ringwood Road Crossing 10 miles south west of Merriwa, Upper Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia.

Mental note to self: don't go there when there is a storm in the area, along with beardy bloke in shorts. Might get cut off by muddy stuff.
