I was remarking to a friend of mine that Mud Club is the only place where we regard dry and sunny as "bad weather"

Typical, I've got a new pupil starting today and he's doing a weeks intensive course.  Poor sod, at least he should be good in the wet when I'm done with him.

Torrential rain and high 2winds in hants. Roof of the office is making some worrying noises too.

Took over an hour to get into work, usually 15 mins.

Look at it this way; all this rain is dissolving all the gaseous carbon dioxide it the atmosphere and in so doing is absolving our trucks of killing the planet! Oh and we get to play out too!

Mind you its a mill pond and we work in a mill building, fortunatley all the kits upstairs so its only soggy stationary if it does come up another foot or two!

I have found  this (http://www.itvlocal.com/central/news/) from Saturday evenings news.

After the thing about people loosing money it has a bit about a flood and a firecrew having to save 2 people from a land rover discovery that was only a week old. No mention of the other cars stuck in the floods nearly up to thier roofs!

On a serious note - perhaps if anyone knows of folk getting into difficuly or cut off perhaps we could arrange help through this site.

Just for a change, it has started to rain again. If the water company quack on again about water shortages and the reservoirs not filling up, then they shall be getting a few strong  words, methinks!

I have driven from Devon to Birmingham & back today in the poor weather.

They always seem to be the ones in small dark-coloured cars too - they blend into the road surface on grey days. I've even had them flash at me before now. Erm, yes, I know my lights are on thanks, I've put them on because if I don't I'm completely (as opposed to only mostly) invisible to the rest of the world!

Never mind Davy Jones's locker, its the U boats you have to be careful of! They've waited over 60 years to invade and now they will seize the chance, the beggars!
Don't panic, don't panic! Narrzee U boats sighted in the upper reaches of the River Test!

This reminds me of the inevitable joke radio call in any game of Desert Combat. On land based maps someone will, invariably, hit the key for "Enemy submarine spotted"...

Urgh, sorry but Das Boot beats U-571 any day. Das Boot is accurate for a start rather than another "USA won WW2 single-handed" job...

It doesn't look that much like a squirrel - I was careful to avoid wearing it anywhere near the BBC people who turned up to the last Powys 4x4 Response training day as I felt someone wandering around in the background with a hammer and sickle on their hat might not be great PR...
