Have any of you fitted fexli arches to a 3 door discovery. Would you recommend this cut along the arch flare to start with

I'm not 100% about the flexi arches but with the fiberglass ones I got from Devon 4x4, you put the flared arch onto the wing, get it centred on the wheel and at the height you want it, then draw a line around the outside of the flare.
Then measure in 2-3 inches and draw another line, following the first. That's your cut line.

Were there no fitting instructions with flares?

Here's how much I cut out of mine:

You do need to cut the old arch away, otherwise it'll look very odd indeed.. and be no advantage!!

Cut out what you need to, as described above...!!

And be aware, that once they're screwed on, they're not very flexible after-all..!!

You could always fit Defender ones, they're real flexi and a lot cheaper, I've just bought a set on ebay for £38. Brand new and very shiney. If you want to see a set on a Disco look at Gwyn Lewis's on his website.

ve had a plastic set for nearly a year now and positioned them on the truck today to have a look. im a bit scared of cutting away the body, i dont want to cut too much. do you put the top of the flare runing just down from the indent line along the truck? does it mater if its if its right next to it, of an inch lower?
